Every now and then we all get busy! Busy is good, but busy has its drawbacks. One draw back over this last week has been my inability to keep up with my posts. But for the comeback, I have some great news.
My friend Chip Dizard is an amazing guy. I have seen him flow through different transitions in the few years that I’ve known him.
When I met Chip, he had a great web development firm. Then he transitioned to full time teacher at a school where he teaches what he loves, media technology. Along with that Chip formed Chip Dizard Weddings, where he and the crew film and produce top notch wedding trailers and films.
It doesn’t stop there.
Chip also partnered with Amani Channel to form Web Video Chef’s. Web Video Chefs is an “e-learning site to help answer your questions about video production and teach you how to create professional videos.”
Honestly, I could go on and on about the exciting things Chip is up to. However, today I want to share with you a great opportunity that my friend Chip has afforded me.
Back in 2010 I started a podcast where I interviewed up and coming leaders. One of those interviewed was Chip. Unfortunately my podcast was short lived and my A.D.D got the best of me.
Four years later, Chip now has his own podcast calledThe Amazing People Podcast. On the show he interviews “ordinary people from all walks of life who are doing amazing things in life and in business.”
When I read this on his iTunes page, I realized how this theme aligned with that of my blog—which is dedicated to, “dropouts, failures and unrelenting optimists who know there is a big God who can use little us to accomplish big things for His glory.” So I reached out to Chip to see if there could be some sort of collaboration.
Today I am happy to announce a new segment that will be featured on The Amazing People Podcast starting on Episode 28. Obviously you can probably already guess what the name of the segment is…“The Unrelenting Optimist”.
I am humbled that my friend would allow me to offer up some nuggets of “unrelenting optimism” on his podcast. I am also excited to expand the reach of my blog through this collaboration.
So do me this favor.
Go over to iTunes and subscribe to The Amazing People Podcast. You will get to know some amazing unrelenting optimists and get to hear yours truly on The Unrelenting Optimist segment.
One last thing.
When I thought about approaching Chip to collaborate on the show, I thought of every reason why he would say no. But the unrelenting optimist in me refused to settle for this defeatist attitude.
What is one thing you have convinced yourself you can’t do? The unrelenting optimist in you should be doubting your doubt. Go for it underdog!
